Infrastructure and Support

An internship with Macy’s Infrastructure and Support division makes you part of the committed, forward-thinking technology team that creates and supports the electronic complex necessary to keep the business running at peak specs.

Because our unit is critical, you will be, too. So, from the start, you’ll be presented with unique opportunities to learn. That means over the eight weeks of your internship, you’ll find out how to design and support network systems, research and develop information systems, even gain insight into analyzing systems procedures and techniques.

Locations and Start Dates

Our Infrastructure and Support Summer Internship is offered at our Macy’s Systems and Technology locations in Atlanta, GA, Lorain, OH, and Mason, OH. The program starts in June.

Professional development begins on day one of your internship with a combination of structured, hands-on, and classroom-style learning. During internship program, you will spend some time with a mentor assigned by your manager to assist in leadership best-practices and help you grow through continuous constructive feedback. You’ll spend time with your team shadowing and learning. You will attend classroom training to learn leadership and presentation skills from our Learning and Development team. You will also have the opportunity to attend the Executive Speaker Series where you will hear an executive or team present on the projects they are currently working on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to understand the big picture and to learn the finer points of designing and supporting network systems. You will develop information systems, analyze systems and procedures, and manage the technology infrastructure of the entire organization. You will assist in researching and developing information systems, gain insight into analyzing systems procedures and techniques and will see how a business plan is translated into a defined business process.
